       INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF TRADITION MURUT, IN                                           KENINGAU,SABAH
                                                     
Murut people living in rural and southeastern areas of Sabah and is the third largest community in the state. One of the ethnic groups in the State of Sabah Murut tribe is rich with culture. They usually live in Tenom, Keningau and Pensiangan. Murut people also divided into Murut Tahol or Tagol, Tidung, Timugon, SEMBAKUNG, Scourge, Bookan, Kalabakan, and Murut Serundung. Where The Murut represent 2.9% of the population of Sabah, which is about 50,000 people. Murut tribes are also available in Brunei, Sarawak and Kalimantan. Murut people have their own distinct language with other Murut tribes. Uniquely, the Murut people live in their traditional home of longhouses and live harmoniously in a large family near the river.
